A Quarantine Birthday
Having a birthday during coronavirus is kinda weird. You definitely don’t celebrate how you normally would (at least we didn’t). But that doesn’t mean your birthday is going to be bad. For me, I was full of joy. In fact, my sister told me—before breakfast—that if it wasn’t my birthday, she would tell me to take it down a notch. My mom, on the other hand, had no problem telling me that (also before breakfast). I went & got Chick-Fil-A for breakfast because, duh, & one of my favorite songs came on the radio, I rolled the window down, cranked it up & danced & sang along. (That was also…

How to Create Your Family Album
There are a few (okay, technically 9) steps I take to create our family album & I’m going to share them all, plus a few secrets, with you now. One of my favorite things to do is to create these family albums. In all honesty, I tend to complete the previous year’s book when I’m at least a few months, if not half the year or more into the next one. Why I do that I have no idea. But either way, the book gets done & I love working on it & pouring myself, our photos, & memories into it. I hope you’re able to create your own, however…

Honesty Hour: And Here We Are…
I went to Target the other day. (Don’t judge me, it was for necessities.) It was weird being out among other people because that’s where things are at now: I feel odd being around people I don’t live with & am not related to. Most people had on masks which was weird to see even if it is the socially responsible thing to do. It’s hard. It’s hard to see that. It’s hard to see parking lots that are usually packed be completely empty. It’s hard to know what the world is going through. It’s hard to know that it hasn’t reached its worst in Georgia. It’s hard to imagine…

Meredith’s Recommended Books: March
Y’all. Well, first off: welcome back to my recommended books series for March! Okay, so y’all… I lifted my ban on Books-A-Million. We were supposed to go on vacation last week (but obviously, that couldn’t happen with coronavirus) & I wanted to get some books that would be good for vacation. In case you’re wondering what type of books that is, I didn’t want to read something too intense (like a psychological thriller) but I also didn’t want something too fluffy either. My go-tos for the beach are Emily Giffin, Sarah, Dessen, & Nicholas Sparks. Morgan Matson has also become a new go-to for the beach too. Except for Second…

How To Organize Your Photos
Here is your comprehensive guide for how to organize your photos! It probably comes as no surprise that I’m very organized. For me, it’s the only way to live. I actually, kinda, sorta love to organize. Having something neat, clean, orderly, and looking pretty allows me to take a deep breath & breathe easily. Photos are not an exception to this. For a while, my photos were a hot mess because I just didn’t have a good system at all. Well…I’ve turned that around & got it all figured out for digital AND printed photos and I’m sharing all of that with you today. It has taken me quite a…

Focusing on the Positives
I had a whole blog post written & scheduled to be posted today but honestly, it just doesn’t feel right to share it given all that is happening in the world. So I’ll save it for later & write about something different today. I’ve been thinking about what would be a good post to write in a crazy time such as what we’re all dealing with right now & I haven’t come up with much, if I’m being entirely honest. Here’s what I have come up with: Reminding y’all to be kind to others during this time—especially on the Internet. Good grief people, use some manners & be kind. Everyone…

The Haleys Vow Renewal in Jackson, GA
As most of you know, I have created a photography business, Meredith Moore Photography, and have been working on developing my portfolio. I participated in my very first styled shoot back in July & it just so happened to be a 10 year vow renewal for the Haleys! Located in Jackson, GA at Victory Acres we got to witness them renew their vows with ones that they wrote. The Haleys are the sweetest couple & you could tell how much they love each other. I had no idea what to expect at a styled shoot. I’d heard mixed reviews about them: people either have a great experience or they don’t.…

Meredith’s Recommended Books: February
Another month, another set of recommended books! Welcome back y’all! I have to be completely honest with you: I banned myself from Books-A-Million (BAM). I can spend hours in there. There have been quite a few times where you could find me sitting in one of the Young Adult/Teen aisles surrounded by a bunch of books trying to narrow down my 9 options to 1 or 2. Because, unfortunately, I cannot buy 9 books at a time which is a real bummer. Anyway…if my sister was with me, we’d look at each other’s picks & decide which ones we both wanted to read & narrow down from there because it’s…

Chocolate Chip Cookie Cheesecake Bars
I love baking from scratch. But you know what else I love? Quick & easy desserts. Enter these Chocolate Chip Cookie Cheesecake Bars. The base is refrigerated cookie dough which makes this dessert easy. No need to make your own cookie dough from scratch, though you absolutely can! Just open a roll & press into the baking dish. The first few times I made this dish, I planned ahead so the ingredients had time to come to room temperature, let the dish cool completely before placing it in the fridge to fully set up and chill. Now, I tend to make these Chocolate Chip Cookie Cheesecake Bars about 1.5 hours…

Dogs & My Complete 180.
In the interest of completely sharing my life, there’s one part that I must share with y’all. Zoe. I might be am biased but she is just the cutest little dog! Until she’s covered in dirt, grass, or otherwise has done something else bad. Then she’s not that cute. haha She’s 5.5 years old. She’s a Yorkie Poodle mix and she completely, totally, 100% controls our life. I’m serious. If we’re going to be gone for more than a few hours a day, we have someone come check on her or stay with her for a little while. We don’t go on vacations unless she can go too. Even when…
