My Life Changing At-Home Workout Routine
The fact that I’m even writing a post about my at-home workout routine & how it’s affected my life is absolutely laughable. You want to know why? Because back in the day (probably around 6th grade-ish) I was known as “The Girl Who Hated to Sweat”. I’m not kidding. I didn’t like it. Never liked PE class or even recess (you could find me on the swings or chatting with my teacher). My only outdoor activities involved jumping on the trampoline in my backyard. Other than that, I was indoors. I actually vividly remember that day in computer class where I said that when I introduced myself & had to…

A Quilt Project From the Heart
This quilt project has been so long in the making. So, so long but also so, so worth it. Let me tell you the story of how this quilt project came to be… After my grandmother passed, the family needed to clean out her house. It was a massive undertaking that took months & several people to get it fully done. One of the bigger projects at my grandparent’s house was my grandmother’s clothes. She had a TON of clothes. I’m not exaggerating when I say that my grandmother had three—yes, 3—closets worth of clothes. THREE closets FULL of clothes. I can’t even imagine, personally, but Grandma did. My grandpa…

Meredith’s Recommended Books: August
The Recommended Books for August are here! I have to be honest…I haven’t really felt like reading this month. I’m not sure why. When I’m outside, hanging out in the pool, I have no problem reading. But that’s my only motivation. Other than that, not really wanting to read. I read so many books on vacation which I loved but I think that might have just burned me out a little bit so I took a step back & only read a little bit this month. That being said…the books I chose for this month were good! One is perfect for navigating your everyday life and overcoming the obstacles &…

How to Throw a Baby Shower
I had no idea how to throw a baby shower when my sister decided to do just that for our cousin last month. If I’m being honest, I’ve only been to about 3 & I barely remember 2 of them soooo…not a lot of information to go on. If that’s you or you just want some new ideas for a baby shower, I’m going to walk you through exactly how to throw a baby shower! My sister & I mix & matched some of these steps. We had a couple of ideas in mind, used the plates we found at Target + the invites to really help solidify it, then…

Young Adult Recommended Books: Part 1
Young Adult Recommended Books are (finally) here! I love young adult novels. Granted, I am technically still a young adult. Anyway, I’ve been reading Young Adult (YA) novels for years & have come across some amazing ones spanning across multiples genres. I have a blog series titled “Meredith’s Recommended Books” that I do each month. Most of my readers are not young adults so I don’t share them in that series but I still read them. Since I do read them however, I wanted to share the ones that I have read so far this year and that I liked. I read a variety so hopefully there’s one that the…

Macy’s Salsa Chicken Recipe
Things I’m not a huge fan of: Mexican food & spicy food. (I know, I know. It’s a whole thing.) Things I am a fan of: Macy’s Salsa Chicken. My family was just as surprised as me that I loved this dish so much but it is so good! And it’s quick & easy. Macy really isn’t a huge fan of cooking but this quick dish makes her happy. It doesn’t get much better than that! It’s so easy I think that Macy’s Salsa Chicken Recipe would be a great dish for kids that are beginning to learn how to cook. It’s also great for those days when you want…

Meredith’s Recommended Books: July
July’s Recommended Books are here! How has it been 6 months of Meredith’s Recommended Book Club?! I can’t believe August is here but let me tell you, July was a FULL month of reading for me. We went on vacation which automatically means a ton of books. I read 5 books during my trip & there were so many good books! A few YA novels & a couple regular novels were a part of my vacation/beach-read selection. I chose my favorite non-YA novel to share with you today. All of these pictures were taken on the beach. It was so fun to mix it up & have a different background!…

Honesty Hour: Closing a Chapter
Disclaimer: I wrote Honesty Hour: Closing a Chapter about 5 months ago but I’m just finally sharing it now. Sometimes you write things but it doesn’t feel like the right time to share it. Tomorrow marks the one year anniversary of my grandmother’s passing & we’re about to sell the house. Today feels like the right time to share it with y’all… Honesty Hour: My family has spent the majority of the last six months emptying out my Grandpa & Grandma’s house after my Grandma’s death last summer. It took 5 of us 5 hours to not even fully clean out the kitchen. We have spent days working in…

Panama City Beach Vacation 2020
For years growing up, we always went to Panama City Beach (PCB) for vacation. I’m talking for about the first 15 years of my life. It was the first beach my feet touched. Well, I wasn’t a huge fan of the sand and would draw my feet up under me every time they touched but you get my point. Haha It’s been about 8 years since we’ve been back though. It’s one of those things that you think about with nostalgia and you want to go back and relive it. This year we finally did. We went to our top restaurants (and judged the hushpuppies at each place because we’re…

Baby in Bloom Baby Shower
I’m so excited to share the Baby in Bloom Baby Shower recap with y’all today! Back when my cousin announced that she was pregnant, Macy asked if she could throw her a baby shower. Fast forward a few months & we finally got to have the shower last Saturday. We were worried that we weren’t going to be able to have it with COVID & while we did have to change the date once or twice, we put it off as long as we possibly could without trying to pushing our luck in case Baby Girl came early. Thankfully, everything went off without a hitch! *We took extra precautions due…
