Tipton Family Session in Fayetteville, GA
I photographed this sweet mother-son duo back in March before the stay-at-home order went into effect here in Georgia & I’m so glad that I was able to photograph them beforehand!
My aunt introduced me to the Tiptons & the first thing she told me was that I would love Amy & that she was so sweet! She was not wrong. My sister & I love her! She’s easy going, kind, & funny. She even turned the camera on me & my sister & we got a great photo with that golden hour light!
This little boy was precocious & had the cutest personality. When I asked him his name, he gave me his full entire name. He wanted to show me all around their farm & introduce me to the horses, goats, & dogs at their home in Fayetteville, GA. He told me all about the geese. I petted one of the horses & was instructed not to walk behind a horse because you could scare it & it could kick you. I learned a LOT about farm life in 15 minutes. And if you know me, you know that farm life isn’t really my thing. My sister said that you should’ve seen the look on my face when he insisted I pet the horse. Ha. I petted it & it went totally fine but my initial reaction, that I was trying to hide, was “No thanks” Haha. With kids, I think it’s important to win their trust, get down on their level & take interest in their interests hoping that they’ll be cooperative. So that’s what I was doing. I petted the horse. I was okay. So was the horse. The little boy was happy.
Once the camera came out though, he was not having it. Sometimes, that happens! That doesn’t mean that you won’t get any good pictures. One thing I learned from a couple of mentors of mine is that sometimes the session is going to feel worse than how the pictures are going to look. So if your child is not thrilled about photos, that’s totally okay. Good pictures can still happen. You just have to work for them a little bit & be flexible. 🙂 We still got some really great & sweet photos that you’re seeing here. It all works out, so don’t stress!
I am loving these photos & their bright colors & I hope y’all love them too!
Love,
P.S. You can see my other photo sessions here, here, & here! 🙂
