Samson Sisters Portrait Session-Locust Grove, Georgia

Sisters are special. If you have one, then you know what I’m talking about.
You can argue like cats and dogs & then 10 minutes later, you’re totally fine.
There are plenty of inside jokes. One look can tell you exactly what the other is thinking. And depending on how close you are, you say the same thing at the same time (happens with my sister all the time & freaks people out). Did I mention that sometimes you argue like crazy and get on each other’s nerves? Most sisters wouldn’t trade it for anything. I know I wouldn’t.
That’s why I was so excited to do this session!

First off, both girls are beautiful! Second, they’re sisters but in their house, they’re the only girls & have 3 younger brothers. So I was so excited to photograph them and share the bond that they have.

Funny story: they live on some land, which is where we took the photos, but in one part they have goats, which is where this photo above was taken. All was well and good, the goats were nowhere in sight but they must have heard us because a couple of them came up to us out of nowhere. I was totally fine with that, I figured we wouldn’t bother them so they wouldn’t bother us. HA! One of their goats, Otis, came up and kept ramming me in the leg. At one point he had the zipper from my purse in his mouth. I ignored him and kept photographing (after I got my purse zipper out of his mouth) but he kept ramming me for a few minutes. It was pretty funny & the bruise I had later was a nice little reminder of what photographers sometimes have to deal with to get the shot. 🙂 Totally worth it though because look at these photos!

Right as we were wrapping up the session, their youngest brother was outside playing and the youngest sister started talking to him and playing with him and I was able to snap these shots. I’ve heard that she has a special bond with her brothers and is really like a “junior mama” so it was so sweet to get to see her interact with them and to capture these next two shots. They’re some of my favorites from this session. But then again, all of the photos here are!

Love,
