Macy’s Salsa Chicken Recipe
Things I’m not a huge fan of: Mexican food & spicy food. (I know, I know. It’s a whole thing.)
Things I am a fan of: Macy’s Salsa Chicken.
My family was just as surprised as me that I loved this dish so much but it is so good! And it’s quick & easy. Macy really isn’t a huge fan of cooking but this quick dish makes her happy. It doesn’t get much better than that!
It’s so easy I think that Macy’s Salsa Chicken Recipe would be a great dish for kids that are beginning to learn how to cook. It’s also great for those days when you want some Mexican style food at home or you just really don’t want to cook but have to feed yourself & your family. We never have leftovers of this but I bet they’d be really good!
You can put anything you want on the side but we usually have some Spanish rice & tortilla chips. Some guacamole would be good too!

Let me walk you Macy’s Salsa Chicken Recipe.
Here’s what you need:
4 chicken breasts
1oz. Packet of Taco seasoning (roughly 12 tsps.) (you pick your level of spice)
Jar of salsa (roughly ¾ cup) (you pick your level of spice)
3 ingredients. That’s it.
Now for the directions…
#1: Spread taco seasoning on both sides of the chicken. How much you use is really up to your preference. We use an entire packet of either mild or original taco seasoning. Just rub it all in, all over the chicken.
#2: Spoon salsa over the top of the chicken (only the top side).
#3: Place in the oven & bake.
#4: This is totally optional but you can sprinkle some shredded cheese, either cheddar or a Mexican blend, over the top of the chicken & place the pan back in the oven to let the cheese melt.
#5: Serve & enjoy with some rice, extra salsa, tortilla chips, & maybe even some guac!

Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 oz packet of taco seasoning (original,mild, medium, your choice!) 1oz packet ~ 12tsps.
- 3/4 cup salsa (mild,medium, hot, your choice!)
- 1/2 cup Mexican blend shredded cheese optional
Instructions
- Rub chicken with taco seasoning on both sides.
- Spoon salsa over the top of each chicken breast. (1-2 spoonfuls)
- Put in 350* oven for ~30 minutes depending on the thickness of the chicken.
- Optional: Add Mexican cheese blend or cheese of preference & pop back in the oven for 2-3 minutes to melt the cheese.
- Serve with some Spanish rice, guacamole, extrasalsa, sour cream, & tortilla chips & enjoy!
